Reiki Level I Attunement Small Group | January 20

Receiving a Reiki Attunement is a rite of passage to create the healer within, which has really transformed parts of my life. There are four attunements to attain Master Teacher Level. The Level I Attunement (Cho Ku Rei) turns on the light switch to the power within that breaks the physical ties that bind your ability to expand, grow, and live in your truth. Here, you're taught what Reiki means, what it can do for you to heal self, and imparted Reiki energy in an intimate ceremony.

I will be offering my first small group Reiki 1 Attunement September 12, from 4:00-7:00pm in Altadena. Spots are very limited to keep teaching intimate. This course includes literature and hands-on instruction. If you're interested in an individual attunement or attending as a small group on a different day, please reach out to me directly. Sign-up HERE.
Group $125 per person; Private $175

"Reiki on a Moonday," Monthly Reiki Circles, resumes January 14

"Reiki on a Moonday" is a special, recurring Reiki circle Whitney (of Canyon and the Moon) and I have lovingly created, happening once a month, including: a lunar calendar information and intention setting opening, Reiki fundamentals, guided meditation, brief healing sessions (Reiki, crystals, oils, sounds) from Micha and Whitney, group sharing and receiving Reiki, and closing group shares.

Reiki is an ancient healing technique and transfer of Universal Life Force Energy. No prior Reiki experience or training is necessary. This is an inclusive and non-discriminating group, set in a beautiful indoor/outdoor, nature-laden setting, nestled in the foothills of the mountains in Altadena. It's a chance to connect with others and Self should you be on a path towards becoming a healer, or simply to enjoy the ancient art of Reiki, the power of communal circles, and the joy of a group you can look forward to twice a month!

***Bring any blankets, crystals, oils or tools you would like to charge in the circle and make you feel comfortable. Also suggested to bring a cup for ceremonial tea, but we will have some available if not.***

COST: Suggested donations of $10-20
DATES: July 9, July 23, August 13, August 27
RSVP: Directly to micha@ofthewolves.com

CLARITY: Reconnecting to Clear Cognizance - An Online Workshop

DSC_0978.jpg

Life is inherently and increasingly prickly and challenging - our nervous systems are under siege, our constant usage of devices is habit forming and clinically addictive, 24/7 news cycles and demands to make ends meet are depleting us. This results in anxiety, trouble concentrating, depression, a cloudy mind, and we often respond with dysfunctional behaviors. But what mind-altering substances or any practice we use to mentally escape also do is seditiously lure us away from the incomparable benefits of the raw highs of life, the sublimity of the in-betweens, and even the clarity of the lows. Our preponderance to “dulling down”, as I refer to it, has been studied for years, whether we’re talking food, booze, sex - whatever your pleasure cocoon. We humans are messy, complex beings, and sometimes we flee from truly feeling all our messy complex humanness, really meeting life on life’s terms. But there are also invisible factors, and many of us stray far from our true essence without knowing it.

When we prioritize a clear mind and create new habits, we physiologically change. Every time we have a new thought we're creating a new connection in our brains. And as Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, psychiatrist and clinician, tells us in The Body Keeps the Score, stress harms us through physiological changes to body and brain. We’re not fooling our body or mind with dulling down and escapist tactics, just ignoring the persistent problem – the causes of our stress.

This two-week online and downloadable program was created out of my own experience of grief, trauma and loss and STRUGGLING to self-start, to "see" clearly, to put one mental foot in front of another for quite some time. Day by day, I take you through suggestions for dancing with lucidity based on research, studies and personal experiences, and I root you on with journaling exercises and meditations. Lucidity is Brilliant™ can be launched and undertaken from anywhere in the world.

We all find a way to turn off, let’s collectively turn on. To sign up and begin the program, click here for the full kit or visit here for no kit. Love, Micha

Saturday Savior - October 13

Ladies, mark your calendar for October 6! (Gentlemen, your time will come). My monthly healing gathering in Altadena, dubbed "Saturday Savior", because I'm always keen on a great song reference, will resume this fall. Some info to start:

WHAT IT IS: Imagine if your self-care/relaxation/work week decompression and weekend brunch were wrapped up into one enjoyable and affordable half day of you time with a handful of other incredible souls. Imagine you just show up, and the rest is taken care of. You are ushered from one healing dimension to another, or you just remain still, breathing in fresh air and calming scents and sipping on various medicinal tonics, and perhaps a glass of rose.

AMENITIES & SERVICES: Saturday Savior is a completely unique experience I dreamt up, opening my tranquil Altadena home once a month to a small group of women, inviting each person to decompress while offering healing services. Flowing from the home to the yard, attendees are encouraged to enjoy the accommodations – like the infrared sauna, hot tub, pool and indoor and outdoor seating areas – as well as customize their day with healing add-ons such as Reiki healing with sound sessions and a 1:1 customized scent exploration. Every month, there will be one additional element – a guest healer, ceremonial opening or closing, or simply a surprise.

Throughout the house, attendees will be invited to sip on medicinal grade plant-based tonics by Goldthread, various homemade and organic teas, one special plant-based snack and Bonterra organic rose in addition to other healthy goodies. There will be organic skin care products, Sanae Intoxicants and more sustainable brand beauty products to utilize or purchase during the day to protect and nourish the skin as you soak in the sun and detox the body.

INCLUDED IN SATURDAY SAVIOR:

  • Opening meditation

  • Infrared sauna session (must sign up for time in advance)

  • Natural hot tub and pool access

  • Tea ceremony

  • Outside garden and indoor seating

  • Plant tonics

  • Bonterra rose

  • Organic sunscreen for garden use and organic skincare for replenishing

  • Scents for sale

  • Showers and fresh towels and soaps for cleansing

  • Optional hike on the Gabrieleno Trail before or after

Hiking (Movement) Coaching Sessions Open September 24

I've returned to one of my original coaching modalities and fallen deeper into nature and ecotherapy. I will resume offering a few of my hiking (moving) sessions this fall, which are a little longer (75 minutes) than my traditional sessions.

Movement has long been linked to cognition, and the foothills  of these mountains and dense forest near my home office in Altadena provide the healing and growth background that only nature can. More details about my Reiki and Coaching approaches and booking directly can be found on my scheduling page by clicking on coaching sessions! If you don't see a date that works for you, please email me at micha@ofthewolves.com.

OTW "Scent-sational Talks and Aromatic Eating" Dinner Series - "BOTANICAL BLISS"

The third dinner in our overall series is already here, and we’re thrilled about this one! Our friend Sanae Barber of Sanae Intoxicants will be helping us lead this evening, as we engage in an interactive experience of scents and how they affect us somatically and emotionally. We'll discuss how certain herbs and botanicals benefit our nervous systems and overall health and how easy it is to forage for them and add into our diets.

This evening marks the beginning of our "Scent-sational Talks and Aromatic Eating" dinners within our overall Of The Wolves Dinner Series. We will be serving an extensive farm to table meal, hors d'oeuvres, Bonterra organic wine, and aromatic non-alcoholic drinks and kombucha, all incorporating rose, lavender, rosemary and orange essence. If you do not consume alcoholic beverages, this evening and the workshop will still be enjoyable.
***Each attendee will also be gifted a small customized bottled scent by Sanae for the evening!***

This group will be kept intentionally small, so please register early! Address will be sent after RSVPing. 6-9 PM. Sign-up HERE!

Create + Tell In-person Moodboard Workshop

Altadena, CA (address upon registration)

Now becoming an Of The Wolves tradition! While vision boarding may sound frivolous, or like a rainy day way to pass the time, this is an age-old way to bring concepts and ideas into focus and eventually reality. Many poets, psychologists, and philosophers alike will tell you: your inner world and thoughts become your reality. While moodboards are often very focused on ourselves and our immediate worlds, this Wolf Pack has the opportunity to envision far more than just our own narrow realities. Together, we can make tangible positive changes in the world. Come join us for an evening opened by a group visualization practice followed by creating our own individual dream boards for the year. We will provide snacks and supplies for the evening. Sign up here

An Evening with Crisis Text Line (Altadena)

An Evening with Crisis Text Line (Altadena)

Between 2007 and 2015 there was a 31% increase in suicide rates among young men, and for young females the suicide rate doubled. Suicide is the tenth leading cause of death in the U.S. alone, the number one killer of men aged 20-50 in Britain, and the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 15 and 34.

U.S.-based Crisis Text Line was born from DoSomething.org, the largest organization for young people and social change and one we’ve revered for years. To date, they’ve handled 45 million messages, have over 70 full-time employees spread across the U.S., and 4000 volunteers. LA Director Maggie Van De Loo is going to be joining us to lead an evening of discussion around Crisis Text Line's work, how to become a volunteer if you're interested, and texting for help if you're in need. This evening is FREE and open to anyone and everyone of all ages. Unfortunately, Big Cartel does not allow for free events, so please ignore the $1 price tag and checking out.
***RSVP TO MICHA AT MICHA@OFTHEWOLVES.COM***
